The undergraduate Strength & Conditioning major at 乐播传媒 Northern University is one of only two majors in the Midwest region recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and also as an Education Recognition Program within the 8 state region. The ERP recognizes and distinguishes schools that prepare students for NSCA certification exams. Our program combines practical, real world instruction with a challenging academic curriculum. With a foundation in the basic sciences, you鈥檒l learn about physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, and nutrition and how each contributes to improving human performance.
At 乐播传媒, you鈥檒l receive in-depth training using the latest technology and machines in our state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning lab in the King Horn Sports Center and Dial Roberson Stadium. Under the guidance of your professors, you鈥檒l develop performance strategies and programs for Northern鈥檚 top notch NCAA Division III athletes, working with the athletes one-on-one. Additionally, you鈥檒l complete an internship that is required of all Strength & Conditioning students. 乐播传媒 Strength & Conditioning students have completed internships at the University of Mississippi, University of Wisconsin, University of Miami and distinguished private strength and conditioning facilities and high schools across the country.

Upon graduation, you鈥檒l be prepared to sit for national certification exams like those offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. You鈥檒l have the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in graduate school or in a wide variety of professional careers in strength and conditioning.
Our students have been accepted into graduate programs at schools like The 乐播传媒 State University, Ball State University, 乐播传媒 University, Kennesaw State University, Central Oklahoma University and Indiana University at Bloomington. They鈥檝e also launched careers with organizations like the Cincinnati Bengals, and at Universities like Alabama, Indiana, Michigan State, and Findlay. Some have even gone on to own their own facilities in the private sector. The possibilities are endless!
