ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Visit Grant
Because we believe so deeply in your future, we want to reward you just for coming to see us. This grant is available for students in the Fall 2027 and beyond entering classes. It will be awarded to any student that completes an official campus visit through the Admissions Office (e.g., personal visit, Polar Preview Day, Accepted Student Day). $2,000 will be awarded to students that visit prior to December 1 of their entering year. $1,000 will be awarded to students that visit after December 1 of their entering year. Mathile Scholarship (Full-tuition)
Students with a minimum ACT score of 30 (1360 SAT, evidence-based reading and writing plus math) and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 are eligible to apply for this full-tuition scholarship. Eligible applicants must submit their Mathile Scholarship application by January 4, 2027. As a part of the application, students will also submit a resume and essay. After a review of all applications, a group of finalists will be invited to complete an on-campus interview with the selection committee. Two students will be selected and offered full-tuition renewable scholarships. The Mathile Scholarship will replace all other ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ scholarships and awards. To Apply or Learn More--
James F. Dicke Scholarship (Full-tuition)
Students who are admitted to the James F. Dicke College of Business Administration and have a minimum ACT score of 27 (1260 SAT, evidence-based reading and writing plus math) and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 are eligible to apply for this full-tuition scholarship. All applicants for the award are invited to attend the Dicke Scholarship Day on January 30, 2027 where they will interview with the selection committee. From these interviews, one recipient of the James F. Dicke Scholarship will be selected. The scholarship will renew each year for a maximum of four years and replace all other ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ scholarships and awards.

Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarships
The Austin E. Knowlton Foundation established the scholarships in honor of its founder and namesake. Austin E. "Dutch" Knowlton was an entrepreneur and philanthropist. His Knowlton Construction Company, founded in Bellefontaine, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was responsible for 600 projects across the Midwest including schools, hospitals, libraries, and several buildings on ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s campus. Multiple scholarships will be awarded to students who have financial need and are majoring in engineering and in other STEM majors. Preference will be given to students in ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan.
Talent Award: Majors in Art, Music, Theatre, and English
(Up to $4000 per year with an audition/portfolio review)
Talent awards are available for students that choose to major in Art & Design, Music, Music Education, Musical Theatre, Theatre, Entertainment Design & Production, Dance (minor) or any of our English programs. Talent Award: Non-Music Major
Students interested in participating in selected music groups and ensembles are eligible to apply for this award. These are available to all students regardless of major. Music groups include Symphony Orchestra, University Singers, Marching Band and Symphonic Band. Award levels are granted based on the student's artistic potential. .
Legacy Award ($3,000 per year)
Awarded to legally dependent (defined by IRS) sons or daughters of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ graduates, or a prospective student who will be concurrently enrolled with a sibling at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
Ministerial Deduction (Half-tuition per year)
The Ministerial Deduction guarantees eligible students will receive a total of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ scholarships, grants and awards at least equal to half tuition. Students that qualify are unmarried, legally dependent children, under the age of 25, of a licensed and ordained elder of the United Methodist Church who is currently under active appointment by the annual conference. This tuition reduction also applies to children of retired and deceased ministers. A separate application listing specific criteria is required. Financial need is not a factor
Choose ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ First Scholarship (up to $8,100)
In partnership with the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Board of Regents, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ offers scholarship for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students who major in certain STEM fields. To qualify, students must be residents of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Transfer students, in eligible majors, also qualify to apply for Choose ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ First. LEARN MORE - CLICK HERE!
ICAPP Scholarship ($1,000 per year)
The Institute for Civics and Public Policy (ICAPP) Scholarship is awarded to students with a passion for civics, public policy or public service. ICAPP Scholars will have unique opportunities to pursue a variety of programs sponsored through the Institute for Civics and Public Policy at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Northern University. Two students will be named ICAPP Scholars and awarded a renewable annual scholarship of $1,000.
